ABORTION
God values human life. So should we. I am against abortion.
AGRICULTURE
We must preserve and expand the family farms and ranches that feed America.....and the world.
CARING for the POOR
Government can't solve all our problems. It's time for us to bind the wounds of the sick, elderly, poor and homeless. It's people that make the difference.
COMMUNIST CHINA
Red China's communist dictatorship kills Christians, imprisons freedoms seekers, and engages in slave labor. I oppose the current, "most-favored nation" status Congress has given to China. I am against sending American military technology, jobs, and money to Red China. I opposed China's recent efforts to control Long Beach Naval Station in California, and both ends of the Panama Canal.
CORPORATE WELFARE
I am against the federal government handing out millions of tax dollars to huge corporations.
DEMOCRACY
People have been shut out of the political process. Government should not belong to big-money special interests, professional lobbyists, international corporations, or foreign countries. Government belongs to the people....ALL THE PEOPLE!
ENVIRONMENT AND WATER
I oppose the shipment of millions of gallons of Louisiana's fresh water resources to out-of-state merchant power plants. Let's work together to preserve our environment.
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
There are many dedicated public servants. But the federal government has gotten too big, too powerful, too expensive-- too willing to take our rights and freedoms.
FEDERAL JUDGES
I oppose life-time appointment of federal judges, some of whom are out of touch with ordinary citizens and everyday problems.
FIREARMS
I support the Second Amendment right of citizens to lawfully own firearms.
FOREIGN AID
It is wrong to send taxpayers' money to corrupt tyrants, communist dictators, and black-market profiteers while children starve. We can help those in need, without enriching those with greed.
FREEDOM
Our rights and freedoms are the bedrock of our constitutional republic. I advocate more freedom......not less!
GAS, FUEL, and UTILITY PRICES
Sky-high gas, fuel and utility prices burden consumers, and squeeze the economy. I will fight the monopolies that send prices skyrocketing!
HMOs
You and your doctor should be making medical decisions......not HMOs!
JOBS and TRADE
We need to create new jobs here in America. I will fight for good jobs, fair wages, and safe working conditions. I will fight the political deals that are sending our jobs across our borders, and overseas. We must export products-- not jobs. Let's fight for our jobs!
NURSING HOMES
The elderly are a national treasure. I have fought nursing home abuse in the courts. I will continue fighting this tragedy in Congress!
PRESCRIPTION COSTS
Our seniors, and other citizens, should not have to choose between food and the prescriptions they need!
SCHOOL CHOICE
Parents should decide where their children go to school.......not politicians and bureaucrats!
SCHOOL PRAYER
Students and teachers should be allowed to pray. The government has tried to keep God out of school, and allowed guns and gangs in! I support a Constitutional Amendment to protect school prayer.
SMALL BUSINESS
Small and family-owned businesses are part of our American heritage. They are vital to our economy. I will fight the unnecessary regulations and taxes that burden small business!
SOCIAL SECURITY
Let's protect Social Security Benefits from political raids, and wasteful government spending, for the sake of our seniors-- and the retirees of tomorrow.
TAXES
When American citizens work five months of the year for the government, and pay over 35 percent of their income in federal, state, and local taxes, something is drastically wrong! Taxes must be reduced NOW!
TERRORISM
We must aggressively bring wrong doers to Justice. Our rights and freedoms cannot be held hostage to terrorists!
WELFARE
Jobs promote self-esteem, dignity, and self-reliance. We need to replace welfare with good jobs. We need to replace welfare with well-being!
